Return of the Land Sperm!

I hate silverfish! I have them in this apartment too, and they are nasty. I've killed like 3 this week. Gross! And I'm not the only one, my sister (Scam) and my parents have seen them in their place too. It's an invasion! HELP!!!

I think they're planning something, Shai.

Watch your back!

I think you are right! Maybe I should put a secret hidden camera in the bathroom and catch a little of what they are plotting. Those things are so creepy! And check out that picture, they SMOKE too!!!! On top of being gross little bugs I have to put up with their cigar smoke as well. Nasty creatures.

Hehehe. Squish them, my precious. ;)

That's what I've been doing, but they keep coming back...and in greater numbers! We should retreat to Helm's Deep and make our stand there.

Think on the bright side, they're not those millipede things!!!

Maybe there is something that they don't like? A natural repellant? I know ants won't cross a chalk line, maybe they won't either?

Ants won't cross a chalk line? I thought that only applied to voodoo witches. :/
Maybe I will do some research, or call the exterminator to just talk, you know. I don't want pesticides around. I would rather have the bugs.

Is boric acid toxic? I don't like to keep harsh chemicals around the house with a little one. And sometimes the mister yuck stickers attract my husband and he eats the stuff. Then there is the whole messy part of explaining it to the nice paramedics who come to pump his stomach. :)

This has tons of stuff, some natural ideas like cloves, they hate cloves apparently.

And

"Silverfish (and any other crawling-bug pests--cockroaches, earwigs,
ants, centipedes, etc.) can be safely, efficiently and
cost-effectively controlled with diatomaceous earth (available in
specialty garden stores). It looks and feels like talcum powder and
usually costs less than $10 for a 5 pound bag (a lifetime supply). It
is non-toxic to humans and pets since it scratches the outer casing or
breathing structure of insects and bugs, causing them to dehydrate. A
pest only has to walk through some of it and they are as good as dead!
As long as it remains dry, it is effective continuously, forever."

Cool even if the grammar sucks!!! I also read to make sure they are silverfish not firebrands or something.

Once again, Annie to the rescue! Those are great ideas. I think I might try to cloves first since I don't know how well I could keep the bathroom dry with the baby splashing the water everywhere. :)
I actually cleaned the floor with tea tree oil 2 days ago and haven't seen one since. I wonder if they don't like that either?

Oh, and Woods, don't worry. He only eats the ones that he thinks will give him ever-lasting life.

BTW Woods, when are you going to make your own blog?

Keep it as dry as you can, Shai, they love the damp. If you have new drywall or new wood, they live in it cuz it's still wet or something. And they live in piles of wet leaves and stuff.

I know too much about these stupid bugs now!!!! I blame you!

I'm keeping it as dry as possible! I wipe up all the water after my son takes his bath. He loves to splash and splash. And my sister (not Scam, the other one) bought him this toy that squirts water up all over the place and he loves to play with it. errrrrrr
If she had kids I would get them yard darts. ;)

Maybe you should get sis's hubby some "fun" toy that will drive her crazy!?

I really don't like to make her mad. She still intimidates me after all these years. :/
